My project presents the design of a 15 kW two-stage helical gearbox for a medium-duty belt conveyor. The gearbox provides a total reduction ratio of 20:1, reducing the input speed from 1750 rpm to 87.5 rpm. The design includes helical gear calculations, shaft and fatigue analysis, bearing selection, journal bearing design, key calculations, housing development, full CAD assembly, and technical drawings.
