15-Pound Battlebot: Queen of Hearts · 模型 7568
EDIT: May 8th, 2023 - Queen of Hearts competed at Sacramento Bot Battles earlier this year, going 2-2 and winning the Coolest Bot Award. It defeated the defending champion as well! Many changes were made to the robot since this CAD was posted: primarily, the drivebase changed from a mecanum drivebase to regular wheels. Sadly, the COTS mecanum wheels proved to be underbuilt for this weight class, though I have plans to continue experimentation with mecanum later on. Thank you to Upgrade Energy for sponsoring Queen of Hearts! Queen of Hearts IQ is a mecanum-drive double disc vertical spinner made for the 15-pound MiniIQ class. Its 4 wheels, each individually driven by a Repeat Drive Max, give it unique omnidirectional maneuverability in the same footprint as a traditional tank-steered rectangular combat robot. A Turnigy XK3674 inrunner belt drives its 3.75lb 6" AR500 and 6061 aluminum double disc to a 300mph tip speed to achieve a rotational kinetic energy of 4 kilojoules. The entire robot is encased in 6061 aluminum of varying thicknesses, with a layer of AR500 steel mounted at a 35-degree angle acting as frontal intake.
