This was an old project lying around in a folder. I had upgraded SolidWorks and the original model was not accepted. (Hint to new CAD users. Work with Fusion 360. SW is overpriced and underperforming). However when I made a couple of program deletions....my 904 model was good to go. The Porsche 904 was a smaller lightweight racer in the same vein as the Lola which I previously had worked on. It was Porsche's re-entry back to sports cars after a fairly pedestrian couple of years in Formula One. Even at present day Porsche wishes to get back into F1. Don't! Focus on world class sports car racing and hand all the competitors their hats. Porsche has no equals. Getting back to the 904 of course it led to the 906, 908, 910 (of which I have a CAD model of) all the way to the Pink Pig. The Porsche 917. The 904 put Porsche back in the game and whether its 1964 or 2023, they are the gold standard. This model is a bit rough as I used a lot of judgement and relied on photographs attached as much or more than the 2D drawings. Enjoy ...........................................November 13, 2025. Was amusing to read the above. I was not far off. Porsche did return to IMSA and WEC and now has left WEC! I also re-did the 910. The smartest thing they did was not enter the Gong Show known as Formula 1. And one day they will be back at LeMans hopefully dusting Ferrari and Toyota and Cadillac and Peugeot....and Ford! Especially Ford!
