This design came out of work related to rover onboard testing setups. During small-scale lab and mock rover experiments, keeping vials and mini beakers stable was a constant issue. Things were tipping, sliding, and making the testing process messy and unreliable. To solve that, this compact 4-slotted modular beaker stand was developed to provide a stable and organized holding system for repeated test conditions. It supports 28 mm diameter mini beakers or tubes with a 40 mm height constraint, making it suitable for tight experimental setups. The structure is built with 3 mm thick walls to ensure rigidity and durability even during frequent handling. A 1–2 mm clearance is included around each slot to account for 3D printing tolerances. This ensures smooth insertion and removal of glassware without binding or surface damage. The design is fully 3D-print friendly and requires no supports, making it easy to fabricate for quick prototyping. PETG is preferred for chemical exposure environments, while PLA is suitable for dry lab or demonstration use. Overall, it’s a simple but practical fixture inspired by rover onboard testing needs—focused on stability, repeatability, and clean experimental workflow.
