A diploma project of a 30-tool HSK-A63 chain-type tool magazine for a 5-axis CNC machining center. The unit was developed as part of a CHIRON FZ12 FX-based flexible manufacturing module for machining medium-sized housing parts. The magazine stores 30 HSK-A63 tool holders and supports the automatic tool change cycle. Tool selection is performed by chain magazine rotation, while the magazine body moves into the working area using a ball screw drive. The chain is driven by a synchronous motor through a worm gearbox.
