3D Print Magnetic Chess Set w Board · 模型 6103
A 3D printable chess set and board with embedded magnets. *UPDATE* In v116 I made the board base poke-yoke by offsetting the dovetails a few mm. I also added 0.3mm chamfers to the dovetails so they are easier to start. Additionally the magnets now insert into the board base instead of the squares. This makes everything a bit faster to print and you don't have to swap the magnets if you want to change the square colours. I also removed the model of the black pieces because the threaded holes were mirrored. Print the white pieces in both colours. *END UPTADE* All parts are designed to be printed without supports. The board is printed in 4 pieces and joined together with strong bolted dovetail connections. The black and white tiles are not the same to prevent installation in the wrong position. To ensure the size-on-size interfaces fit properly use the highest quality print settings. I've tested the design with "0.10mm FAST DETAIL" default PLA settings on a PRUSA MK4 with 0.4mm nozzle. Requires QTY[64] 12mm OD X 3mm magnets and QTY[40] M6-1.0 X 10mm flat head bolts, steel. Stainless steel bolts will not work because they are not magnetic. Grid size is 40mm and the pieces are 75% FIDE scale.
