This is a design for a 3D printed longboard wheel. These wheels are engineered to mimic the hardness, durability, and grip of traditional wheels. The 3D printed longboard wheels are 72mm in diameter and use 2x standard 8mm bearings that are press fit in each side of the center hub. The center hub is printed with an ABS-Polycarbonate blend for the strength and shock resistance that will be induced during operation. The tire section (Blue) is made with a 92A shore hardness TUP material. This will provide grip on all surfaces. When manufacturing using an F123 series FDM printer the center hub should be printed with 10 outer contours and a solid infill. The tire section should be printed with TPU and all contours should match the perimeter of the part to prevent over extrusion. After printing and all support material is removed, the tire section is pressed onto the center hub. Next, the bearings are pressed into place and the wheel is ready to be installed on a longboard.
