The 3kg CO2 fire extinguisher (commonly designated as MT3) is a widely used portable fire-fighting device that utilizes carbon dioxide gas compressed at high pressure. Its primary functions include: Effectively extinguishing fires involving electrical equipment—since CO2 is non-conductive, it is ideal for suppressing fires caused by electrical shorts, electronic devices, computers, electrical cabinets, or server rooms. Handling liquid and gas fires—it is used to extinguish flames originating from gasoline, oil, alcohol, paint, gas, and other flammable chemicals (Class B and C fires). Rapid cooling and smothering—upon discharge, the compressed CO2 exits the nozzle at an extremely low temperature, diluting oxygen levels and cooling the fire zone to instantly extinguish the flames. Leaving no residue (clean operation)—CO2 converts entirely into gas and dissipates into the air after discharge, ensuring that equipment and surrounding areas remain free from chemical contamination or damage (unlike dry powder extinguishers).
