A diploma project of a 5-axis flexible manufacturing module for machining medium-sized housing parts. The CHIRON FZ12 FX machining center was used as a reference/base machine for the design. The module includes a vertical spindle, tilt-rotary table, automatic pallet changer, chain-type HSK-A63 tool magazine, chip conveyors and hydraulic unit. It is designed for milling, drilling, boring, reaming and thread cutting of complex housing components in one automated CNC machining system.
