5 gallon pour spout comes with two threaded adapters. The larger black adapter screws onto 2-3/4[70mm] inch diameter threads, and the smaller threaded adapter screws onto 2-1/2[63mm] inch diameter threads. For plug type openings that do not have a threaded cap, do not use either adapter. Simply remove the plug from the bucket, and then push the spout into the hole until it snaps into place.
