This Extremely lightweight Aero Wheel has been designed to be the fastest on Earth, to do so it has been made with cutting-edge materials. Specialized for TT bikes. The complete front wheel with a 160mm brake rotor weighs 520 grams thanks to an extensive use of Carbon Fiber/Graphene Oxide-Epoxy Hybrid composites, this type of material is currently being used by Dassi in their INTERCEPTOR™ GRAPHENE bike frame. It is a material that is 70% stiffer and 30% lighter than high quality CF-Epoxy Prepeg. To maintain the stiffness and lightweight of the spokes these are made of the same material but in a unidirectional order with some transversal fibers used for reinforcement. The Rim core is made of aerospace grade foam ROHACELL® 31A. The axle is made from Titanium Ti-6Al-4V with Ceramic Boron Nitride Bearings.
