The tool made for this project is a Drill Guide designed to help drill accurate 6mm holes on curved surfaces. Normally, drilling on curved parts is difficult because the drill bit tends to slip from the marked location, causing offset holes or holes that are not perfectly straight. This guide was created to avoid those issues and to make the drilling process easier and more reliable. It can also be used for drilling on round tubes, which adds to its practicality. The model was created using the “Drill Guide” feature available in trinckle’s Additive App Suite. The final model was exported as an STL file and printed in PLA using a Creality 3D printer with almost no modifications required after generation.
