Just a design for a 78 feet catamaran with wave piercing hull. I thought about a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure. The weight would be around 60-70 tons. With the tender hulls (l/w 10) a pair of 500-600 hp diesels (such as C9 Caterpillar) should be enough for 20 knots. At 8 knots it would consume only 2 liters per kilometer... or 1/2 gallon per nautical mile.
