Working on an ROV design at the moment, here is the V1 of my auxiliary modules attachment and release mechanism using a simple double solenoid. Could be used on any RC device, likely cost around $5 a piece if you have the resources to produce it yourself. May, or may not upload sketches of the device later, if anyone is interested in such, let me know. Note, tolerances are assuming the use of an SLA 3D printer, so they are fairly loose fits to account for tolerancing problems when printing (previous experience). Tightening tolerances is recommended if more conventional construction techniques are used. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if anyone improves or produces one!
