Avoiding 3 sided surfaces & Creating Clean Geometry in Creo 2.0 Parametric · 模型 207056

作者:Michael Russell

This model demonstrates a good technique for avoiding 2 / 3 sided surfaces within Creo Parametric 2.0. The trick within Creo is to construct all of your line work using the 'Style' tool and create all of your surface work using the 'Boundary' surface tool. In my experience this method produces smooth and adaptable results, avoiding hip lines, bumps and pinched intersections that are common with other surfacing techniques. The 3D file I have included is the full creo prt file with a full model tree. The first two sketches in the tree were used as a guide. You could just as easily include a hand sketch to work from or include datums to build a more accurate surface file. My background is Product / Industrial design & I am sure their are far more advanced surfacing methods for car & aeronautical Engineering. But I find this method is ideal for the majority of products that I have worked on, many of which are now in production. Let me know what you think!
