B-Pillar Hot Stamping Process - NX Surface to Sheet Metal Design · 模型 73511
This project demonstrates a complete technical workflow for B-Pillar development using Siemens NX, from surface modeling to hot stamping process simulation. Technical Workflow: Surface modeling of B-Pillar geometry Conversion to Sheet Metal design Blank simulation using One Step Forming (Autoform/similar) Material: 22MnB5 (Hot Austenitic) - Ultra High Strength Steel Process: Hot Stamping & Press Hardening simulation Key Features: The 22MnB5 material is specifically chosen for structural safety components due to its excellent formability at high temperatures and ultra-high strength after quenching. This project showcases the complete engineering approach from design to manufacturing feasibility. Software: Siemens NX (Surface Design, Sheet Metal, Forming Simulation) Application: Automotive BIW (Body In White) - Safety structural component. Note on forming process: This project focuses on the blank development stage using One Step simulation. In real manufacturing, B-Pillars typically require multiple forming stages (cold pre-forming + hot stamping), but this study concentrates on blank size optimization and material flow analysis for the hot stamping operation.
