I'm building a deck, and there are regulations for the ballusters (the in-between upright posts) on the railings. Basically, the railings have to be a minimum of 36 inches tall (for residential, 42" for commercial housing), and the balusters must have less than 4" between. I made this jig/tool to help me get the spacing even. The balusters are ~1.3" square, and I am mounting them to a 2x4 such that they are even with the bottom of it. The gcode is for an Ultimaker 2+, and was created using Simplify3D Pictures are of the final product in action, and the results.
