A beam clamp is a mechanical fastening tool designed to attach hardware, conduits, or rigging equipment to structural steel elements (like I-beams, C-channels, or purlins) without requiring any drilling or welding. Standard Installation Process 1. Positioning: Slide the open jaw of the clamp onto the flange of the steel beam. 2. Torquing: Tighten the case-hardened set screw on top using pliers, a wrench, or channel locks until it bites firmly into the steel. 3. Locking: Run the integrated jam nut downward and tighten it flush against the clamp body to prevent structural vibration from loosening the assembly.
