Blade And Chute Drum · 模型 218369

in the blade and chute drum stainless steel blades force the regolith through and up a HDPE chute to where it is deposited into a collection chamber. The stainless steel blades and chute have opposing forces thus canceling each other out thus the drum has no reactive force. The dust kicked up by the motion of the blades is contained with in the soil ,chute and collection chamber. the rims to which the blades are mounted are submerged below the regolith which also aids in the containment of dust.Simply no dust ,no reactive force and can easily be manufactured. The blades are made from stainless steel for abrasion and wear resistance .there is also a 1mm gap between the blades and the HDPE forming the chute. Fine regolith falls into this gap to form a wear layer protecting the HDPE.This drum has a 90% fill ratio and will work at 20rpm. it has a mass of 5kg. To empty the drum the machine lifts the drum at 30 degrees so that the outlet opening in the drum is now at the its lowest point and the blade wheel is rotated in reverse. At 30 degrees the side walls of the drum will be at an angle of 40 degrees. The is more than the friction angle of regolith so the load should empty out quite smoothly. If clumping does occur a reverse driven agitator blade can be placed above the outlet opening. The blade wheel can be riveted together and the blades can be replaced when worn. The collection chamber is screwed together with self tapping screws and the hub is bolted to the arm through the collection chamber. The material is secure in the drum when the wheel stands still and should stay inside the drum even in zero gravity conditions. The drum should hold about 20 liters of material and should fill with 4 rotations if the blade pockets are full.
