Modelled after Watlow's Raymax 1010 heater. In my model, I left out the emitter plate because otherwise it would just look like a cuboid. My boss and clients tend to prefer very literal concept images. This heater uses electric heating elements to heat up a plate with high emissivity which then emits that energy as radiation. They claim to be 0.8 times as efficient as a blackbody emitting at the same temperature. No pesky IR bulbs involved, and no waste visible light everywhere.
