A diploma project of a C-axis rotary table for a 5-axis CNC machining center. The unit was developed as part of a CHIRON FZ12 FX-based flexible manufacturing module for machining medium-sized housing parts. The rotary table is designed for mounting a 400 × 400 mm pallet and providing controlled rotation of the workpiece during CNC machining. The assembly includes a built-in ETEL TMB+0291-100 UD torque motor, Schaeffler YRTC200-XL axial-radial roller bearing, normally closed braking system and liquid cooling of the motor stator. The design was checked for bearing life, braking torque and thermal performance.
