Revised This design is based on only 4 simple parts (an Inner ring, an Outer ring, a grab screw and a “logo” disc) that will work on both the outside and inside of the handlebar taped area. It operates on the simple principle of “cam” lock: - Just position the two main rings with the inner ring tightly overlapping the tape end and firmly turn in opposite direction then tighten the grab screw. With the outside end just place the logo disc into the outer ring, seat against the end of the handle bar with the inner ring overlapping the tap then do the same as above. Very cost effective, allowing for the parts to be made of aluminum or even stainless steel and most importantly, no costly molds or milling. The two parts can be pumped out on a CNC machine in “pairs” from one stock bar of raw material. To confirm tolerance and cam offset amounts, simple mild steel can be used for prototyping, before finalizing the design for production. The smaller the tolerance to the handle bar tub and the lower the cam offset the better. I have also shown an expanded design using the “end disc” as a support for a hand protector.
