Prototype carbon fibre bicycle brake rotor. 202mm dia (approx 8") with standard 6-bolt mount. I've done some FEA on this design, but in no way at this stage would I say it's safe for use without MUCH more testing. The rotor has been designed with a forward thought towards a basalt braking surface, indicated by the lighter coloured braking area.
