Closed stacking corner for welding onto square or rectangular steel tubes – the classic element for building your own stackable racks, post pallets and transport frames. The two inclined walls guide the frame above into position when stacking, the closed corner keeps it from sliding off. This is not a dead STEP shape: the SolidWorks part is fully driven by four global variables, so you can generate a stacking corner for practically any tube size in a few seconds. HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN SIZE 1. Open Tools > Equations. 2. Change the four global variables (names are German): - "RohrL" = tube size along the first wall (tube length side) - "RohrB" = tube size along the second wall (tube width side) - "Höhe" = height of the corner walls - "Blechdicke" = sheet thickness For square tubes set RohrL = RohrB. Rectangular tubes work as well – each wall follows its own tube side. 3. Rebuild TWICE (Ctrl+Q, Ctrl+Q). The second rebuild is needed so the loft-based wall picks up the new values. Everything else follows automatically: the inner pocket, the wall lengths, the tapered stacking funnel, the drain/weld holes and the welded corner. MODEL STRUCTURE - Base profile sketch with equations for wall length and pocket size - Loft + shell for the tapered stacking funnel, converted to sheet metal (2 bends) - Welded corner, fillets, material S235JR - Flat-pattern configuration included – export the DXF directly for laser cutting Tip: the model is tuned for its default sheet thickness.
