I originally designed this to attach to the side of my Console in my 02 Jetta (which has the deploying cupholders in the IP). The standard deploying Cupholders are terrible for using large heavy cups/mugs, and impedes Radio visual. I can screw this to the Passenger Side of the Console and still be able to easily grab my beverage. I wanted it to collapse in case my Passenger needed the leg room. Steel Pins can be ordered on Amazon, I used 3mm Diameter x 25mm Long. The bottom pins will be inserted partially, and use a hacksaw to trim the excess that is exposed. This can obviously be used in many other areas where a Beverage Holder is needed!
