Colour Shift Pebble - Statasys My third and final submission for the Stratasys Grabcad inspiration competition. Instead of exploring form and geometry, for this idea I instead I have focused on how colour can be manipulated effectively in such a small canvas. I designed a tessellation that captures two different colour gradients but without blending them. The geometry is two colours at once, creating an effect that shifts and blends. In one direction a gradient from orange to red, while across this a second of blue to pink. I hope this effect encourages viewers to rotate and examine the pebble more closely. To appreciate the fidelity and colour achievable with Stratasys Printer. The attached video illustrates the effect, as the angle changes the colours blend and shift into each other, the colours move in and out of focus.
