My goal is to create a ventilator that is easy to assemble and mobile to use. I designed the ventilator so that parts can be manufactured using a laser cutting machine. The ventilator works with an offset pulley connected to a motor to drive the arm up and down, forcing the vent bag to push air. The arm has a spring to push back up against the pulley rotation. The motor can be changed, maybe something that can run with a small gearbox so that the speed can be adjusted to suit the patient's capacity. Laser cutting parts are cheaper and much quicker to manufacture than 3D printing, although this assembly can be printed as well.
