CUCCUMA COFFEE NAPOLITAN · 模型 93609
What is the Cuccuma La Cuccuma, better known as a Neapolitan coffee maker, is the jug used for preparing coffee at home not only in Naples, but throughout Italy, in the nineteenth century. The term cuccuma comes from the late Latin cúcuma, which designates a metal container with a handle, used in ancient times to cook coffee and chocolate. Replaced by the most modern moka coffee maker, easier and faster to use, since the second half of the 900 the Cuccuma has almost disappeared from the houses and the memory of coffee lovers, remaining a true Italian icon of the nineteenth century. Today the Cuccuma is still produced in its traditional appearance as well as in more modern types of design. Originally produced in copper, after 1886 the material of the traditional version becomes aluminum. Today many versions of the Cuccuma are also made of steel. The preparation Composed of two parts with a basket filter in the middle, the Cuccuma has the spout facing down: when the water is boiling and a bit of steam escapes, it must be turned over with a sharp blow. With this procedure the water passes slowly through the filter containing the coffee and goes to collect in the lower deposit. To better preserve the aroma of coffee as it goes down, the Neapolitan tradition suggests the use of "coppetiello", a small piece of paper folded into a cone shape that is placed on the spout while waiting to serve coffee.
