Custom Designed Gear Drive System · 模型 173301
The full assembly of a custom designed gear drive. The design parameters are listed at the bottom of the description! This was one of my hardest projects, as designing gear connections can be optimized beyond comprehension. Finding various ways of doing so, and uncovering niche empiric methods over time required this to be a parametric project. I didn't number the redesigns, but this is the product of a lot of optimization. It's still imperfect by all means, but the experience this project gave me is pretty invaluable. The parametric modelling was one challenge, yet actually getting familiar with the back-and-forth of the scientific method. Many changes that were necessary cascaded down to parts you would never even consider connected, and I have immense respect for anyone who made these calculations on paper. I definitely needed programmatic solvers to finish this project in a timely manner. Besides designing the gear connections, the entire rest of the assembly is custom as well. Choosing bearings and designing the cast housing was really interesting as well. It's my first time actually designing and not just copying cast components, which made me appreciate others' designs even more. It also made me want to learn a lot more, as my current attempt feels very lacking, even if it's technically correct. Actually assembling this thing would be an absolute nightmare. Not to mention it not having any supporting ribs at a crucial part between the housing and the electric motor. I am really driven to improve on this front. All calculations, and drawings were done in Hungarian, however I still suggest you check out the "Drawings" folder if you're interested in those. The basic layout and dimensions can be gleamed without words. This entire project started with the following parameters being given to me at the beginning: Number of stages: 2 Machine torque: M_M = 305 Nm Machine rotational speed: n_M = 59 1/min Input rotational speed: n_IN = 1410 1/min = 23.5 1/s Transmission ratio: i = n_IN / n_M = 23.89 [-] Transmissible Power: P_MG = M_M · ω_M = 1.884 kW Everything else was calculated from these initial constants! Feel free to use this in any of your own projects, but please make sure to give credit ^^
