Straight Line Engine is a form of machine for creating Guilloché and similar patterns - a companion to Rose Engine. Modified a VEVOR milling table: (https://www.vevor.ca/rotary-table-c_10128/compound-milling-machine-work-table-2-axis-cross-slide-bench-drill-vise-fixture-p_010230619047) basically for the castings. the lead-screw replaced with a ball screw. This design is somehow departing form the convention by incorporating spiral cams rather than regular racks. Making those spiral cams is easy and quick and the change of the phase by rotation more accurate and backlash fee. Changing the cam takes a little longer than shifting the racks, but it is still under 2 minutes.
