Standard D12 Dice Dodecahedron Construction The dodecahedron is constructed on an inscribed cube. Faces of the cube are bisected. A point is drawn at φ on three half-bisectors surrounding a cube edge. A plane is referenced from the top of 3 normals elevated from two adjacent cube faces at the φ points with length equal to the distance from the face center to the φ point. A pentagon is drawn connecting two φ normals beside each other to near the cube corners, to the single normal coming off the other face. The sides are set to equal and pentagons are then drawn around the cube to complete the polygon. The pentagons are converted to planar surfaces and intersected to form a solid body.
