FluoView is an innovative, portable device designed to enhance the accuracy of stereotactic brain tumor biopsies by enabling real-time visualization of fluorescein sodium. This device emits light in the 425-490 nm wavelength range, exciting fluorescein and allowing immediate confirmation of its presence in tissue samples. Equipped with a fluorescence viewing window and a 520 nm cutoff filter, FluoView ensures precise detection while minimizing background interference. Designed for surgical environments, FluoView is fully sterilizable and operable without external assistance. The device is CAD-modeled and 3D-printed using ABS material, making it lightweight and durable. As an open-source project, it is available under a Creative Commons license on GrabCAD, complete with manufacturing guidelines for easy replication and customization. FluoView represents a significant advancement in neurosurgical procedures by reducing the risk of inadequate biopsy samples, eliminating the need for expensive fluorescence-equipped microscopes, and providing a cost-effective, accessible solution for fluorescence-guided tissue assessment.
