29 Ekim 1961 You can watch my animation from here: https://youtu.be/tUkEEAlboEw Proje, dönemin Cumhurbaşkanı Cemal Gürsel'in, 1961'de Türk Sanayicileri ve İşadamları Derneği (TÜSİAD) toplantısında yerli otomobil isteğini dile getirmesiyle başladı. Artık Türkiye yerli otomobili konuşuyordu. Hiç kimsenin, Türklerin kendilerine ait bir motor yapabileceğine dair inancı yoktu. Ancak tüm olumsuz düşüncelere rağmen inanılmaz bir durum yaşandı ve Devrim Arabaları projesi toplamda 129 günde tamamlandı. The project started when the then President Cemal Gürsel expressed his desire for a domestic automobile at the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD) meeting in 1961. Now Turkey was talking about the domestic car. No one believed that the Turks could make an engine of their own. However, despite all the negative thoughts, an incredible situation occurred and the Devrim Cars project was completed in 129 days in total. The car was completely domestic production and Turkish made.
