A new construction concept of a dice, usable for rolling or spinning. This type of a dice can always falls on four of its eight "feet", when played on a flat surface. The spinning is about the diagonal axes possible. A small advantage could be, around which axis the dice is spinning, to get wished random results. A 3D printed prototype has not yet been tested. But I am sure, that this kind of a dice will fulfill the function of rolling or spinning, to get random results. Notes: The edge length of the dice is 15 mm. The diameter of each shaft is 4 mm. The length of each shaft is 8.5 mm (but could be adapted to the spinning function). A previous, hand made version with a commercial dice, for spinning only, with one glued on spinning shaft, gets random results. Please have look at the three photos in the gallery. The model is available in a folder with the native data format (.asm) and (.prt), for users of » PTC Creo Parametric 10.0 « and in the STEP (.stp)- and STL (.stl) format
