small hack of Katran's grabcad cnc router mates very basic. completed, working v1 machining v2 with upgraded spindle motor, 50% thicker plates to handle 2.2kw spindle motor, redesign of gantry to split the extruded AL profile and move the lead screw back to reign in center of gravity and eliminate spacers for rail carriage. Thicker gantry plates and thinner profile. Switching to Fusion360 for this very simple CAD/CAM. Original CAD in Inventor was rudimentary and failed to take advantage of parametric modeling, parts were not properly associated for assembly changes which let to some disasters in contract mfg when fasteners were changed on some parts but not with their mates (thankfully caught before production by skilled mfg.) New design with 360 will take advantage of "higher functions" for user modifications so that mirrored parts will no longer be treated as individuals for example. Will post new model soonish.
