My project for the Extreme Redesign Competition is a small, decorative figurine that can hold keychains in its hands. It is flat on the bottom, and could be placed on a shelf or table near a door for easy storage of keys. The figure itself is shaped like a dragon, with two outstretched arms. Each of its hands is capable of holding a separate keychain, and more could be hung over its horns as well. Other versions could be made with different designs. The figure is about 5 by 1.5 inches the base, and about 4 inches high, small enough to fit on a shelf without much difficulty. It is useful for people who lose their keys often, as it offers a place where they can always put them and know where to find them. The figurine can also be used as a small household decoration. After printing, it could also be personalized by being painted depending on the preferences of the person printing it. In addition, it could serve other functions such as a bookend or paperweight. Overall, it is a small sculpture that provides aesthetic appeal while also serving the function of holding keychains near a door.
