The process of creating a helmet in SolidWorks using the Select Picture method is carried out by utilizing an image as the main reference in the design process. First, the helmet image is inserted into a sketch using the Sketch Picture feature. After that, the helmet shape is traced following the contour of the image using tools such as Spline to obtain the basic profile. Next, the profile is used to create a 3D shape using the Surface Loft feature. Once the basic shape is formed, a refinement stage is carried out by adding details such as the visor. Then, the model can be given thickness using the Thicken feature. With this method, the design process becomes easier because it follows the reference image, resulting in a more precise model that closely resembles the original shape.
