The aim of my design is to provide an emergency ventilator that will work equally well in developed and undeveloped countries the world over. Third world countries face big challenges with limited or no access to modern hospitals. Even electricity is not guaranteed. My design is open source and can be assembled by most competent workshops. I am unfamiliar with 3D printing - so maybe someone can assist with making this machine 3D printable? The idea is to control the following functions: The micro controller will: Control the stroke length, thereby controlling the volume of air delivered. Regulate the stepper speed to control flow rate Control stepper cycles to control "breaths per minute" Will control oxygen solenoid Will monitor pressure and other functions with applicable alarms if something goes wrong. The whole system can run from mains electricity or car batteries. If anyone is interested in assisting with this please jump in! I am clueless when it comes to 3D printing and micro controller programming!
