It is a good practice piece for casting-style part modeling. Full description This is a SolidWorks model of an engine cover, built from a multi-view technical drawing with top, front, side and section views (A-A, B-B, C-C). All dimensions are in millimeters, and unspecified fillets are 0.5 mm, as noted on the drawing. Key features Square cylinder head flange with rounded corners (4×R4) and four Ø4 holes Ø40 main bore with stepped cooling fins around the top Side ports with Ø50 and Ø42 openings, joined by a 60° angled boss Mounting lugs with 4×Ø8 holes and 4×Ø6 holes (20 deep) Small Ø6 and Ø12 cross holes Internal ribs (R0.5) and fillets throughout, typical of cast parts Material: aluminum cast Modeling approach Built with revolve and extrude features, then the fins, ports, ribs and fillets. It was modeled in SolidWorks. Credits The original drawing is from the CAD CAM Tutorial by Mahtabalam. I recreated the 3D model from it for practice and learning.
