By utilising a modular design aesthetic this concept allows significant flexibility in its application and reduces voverheads in tooling and so forth. Each component is designed to be interchangeable allowing further customisations depending ont he application. Where this concept goes further (at least I beleive) is that I proposing to adopt an Extensible approach to this suite of products. This enables even greater flexibility to the end user depending on needs or budget and allows for upgrading or revisions over time. This also allows Blackboard to roll out newer products that, if following the same design language, will function seamlessly with the legacy items and provide customers with a means to upgrade without a complete overhaul. This also provides a level of future proofing for new advancements in technology that can be rolled out and incorporated as required. This was my first competition for GrabCAD and can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to trawling through everyone's submissions. Good Luck to all!
