This was a brief given to me in college to introduce me to using Parameters in Autodesk Inventor 2016. Very much a problem solving task looking at designing from a designers point of view rather than a draughtsman perspective. This is the Design Brief for my fellow Engineers to get their teeth into: A) You are required to design a Mug & Coaster assembly where the mug will be able to hold 15 fluid ounces, The mug is to be no more than 125 mm tall, inclusive 5 mm lip to reduce spillage. The mug will be made of aluminium and have a base thickness of 5 mm and a wall thickness of 3 mm. Information Required; What is the Radius of the Mug (assuming cylindrical shape) in mm How much does the mug weigh before adding the Handle ? (kg's) B) Adaptive Assembly - Create a Coaster that will update when the mug diameter changes. The coaster should always be 10 mm larger in diameter than the mug diameter.
