The famous NYFD fireboat from 1938. Drawn in the as-launched condition; the fireboat is a museum today and is pretty much original, but a number of details have changed over the years. CAD model is a single STEP file, supported by a few 2D drawings. Make sure to use the full size PDF 2D drawings, not the reduced size images! This exercise was primarily about defining the hull and house shapes for model makers, and showing the equipment locations. Most components are rough representations only, the modeler will need to do further research to satisfy themselves. Also find here: 1. Photos (rather distorted) of original drawings, used as the basis for the CAD model; 2. Some text info; 3. Numerous reference photos. CAD model is drawn full size in inches. 2D drawings are at 1:48 scale. CALL FOR INPUT: Do you have access to Fire Fighter? I am willing to improve the CAD detail of the many components on Fire Fighter, and to even create 3D-printable files. But I need good photos and a few measurements of these parts. Let me know!
