The Fire Rescue Drone accessory is made to advance the efficiency and safety of fire rescues. The Fire Rescue Drone accessory would be used by firefighters to enter burning buildings and search for trapped victims. Firemen would be able to drive it remotely with a live video feed (camera would be mounted on the already existing Horus Camera Mount). The drone would be able to fly into high apartment windows and traverse burning stairwells and buildings much faster and safer than a fireman could. A flash light mounted on the flash light holder would increase the visibility of the camera and alert any trapped victims. If the drone’s path was blocked by fire, it would be able to use its built-in fire extinguisher to put out the fire and continue its search. If any trapped victims were found in the building, the drone could lead them out or protect them while firefighters are on their way. The Fire Rescue Drone accessory is made of four separate pieces that would easily attach to the drone’s body via pre-existing screw holes. Each part would be printed out of high melting point plastics like ABS so that it would be able to resist the high temperature of fires. Each part is also made to be rigid, yet remain as light as possible. 3D printer parts can be made thin and remain very rigid if the parts are printed at .1mm or thinner layers with a cross-hatch infill. To further decrease the overall weight of the model, the Fire Rescue Drone’s parts are designed with truss like patterns. The truss like patterns decrease the part’s weight and overall print time, since the printer has less plastic to print (this also decreases manufacturing costs since less plastic is required). To further decrease the print time, all of the Fire Rescue Drone’s parts fit on one print bed and can be printed simultaneously. To attach a fire extinguisher to the Fire Rescue Drone accessory, the user must simply push the fire extinguisher into the holder bracket. The fire extinguisher holder bracket is designed to flex open and allow the fire extinguisher to snap in and out place. To attach a flashlight, the user simply must push the flashlight into the bracket. Just like the fire extinguisher holder bracket, the flashlight holder bracket is designed to flex open and allow the flashlight to snap in and out of place.
