The Ovoplex is my last attempt for the GrabCAD Egg Drop Challenge. Based on my previous experiments, this new design has a very good chance of working. Ovoplex v1.0 was not successful, but I have modified the design to v1.1. In this design, I have increased the diameter of the rods and strengthened the rest of the structure. I will not be making a prototype because the deadline for this challenge is too soon and printing will take too long. I also went WAY over budget on plastic usage :) ... still, it's a small price to pay for an obsession with science. Hopefully, somebody will print one of these, one day, and prove that it can work.
