I decided to try to change a maingear from another brand of helicopter. I took a chance and ordered two different main gears from Align. One "H80G001XXT" (110 teeth) and one "H60G001XXT" (112 teeth). I also bought the "H70G009AXT" (13 teeth) pinion in case that the module and/or cut was different from the Oxy5 pinion (it wasn't). The last "H60G001XXT" of them was by far the most expensive so I thought that it maybe was the best. I produced a fixture for the main Align gear so I could make the neccesary changes so the Oxy5 OWB hub would fit. As a result of everything a cavity emerged in between the gear and the OWB hub. I don't think that it is af any importance but I filled it up annyway with a special produced plate made of POM. The new system works flawlessly and is stronger than the original maingear (which really doesn't tell much...). I have made ridiculousy hard stops and funnels with all i got and it takes everything I throw at it. The motor is a Scorpion 4035 and the ESC is a 130A Scorpion. It's (of course) on 12s and with 600mm blades (MEG). For not so long ago I was so lucky to buy an enormous pile of spare parts from a former sponsored Lynx pilot so I figure that I can fly my Oxy5's for 10 years more or till I die which ever comes first.
