Flare Gas Recovery Unit · 模型 109061
This 3D model represents a high-efficiency Flare Gas Recovery Unit (FGRU) designed to capture waste hydrocarbon gases from a main flare header and process them for reuse, reducing environmental impact and facility emissions. 1. Primary Separation (Knockout Stage) The process begins when the gas mixture enters the system from the Main Flare Line. It is routed into a Vertical Suction Scrubber (Knockout Drum). Function: Gravity separation occurs here; heavier liquid hydrocarbons settle at the bottom (Liquid Out), while the "dry" gas is drawn from the top to protect downstream compressors from liquid slugging. 2. Compression Stage (Duty & Standby) The dry gas is then pulled into the compression manifold. As we discussed in our previous sessions, this system utilizes a Lead-Lag(Duty/Standby) configuration: Compressor A (Duty): The primary unit responsible for increasing gas pressure from the suction manifold (10 Bar) to the discharge pressure (40 Bar). Compressor B (Standby): Provides 100% redundancy. It ensures continuous recovery if the primary unit requires maintenance or fails, preventing the need to divert gas back to the flare. 3. Storage & Discharge Compressed gas is discharged into a Horizontal Receiver Vessel (Storage Buffer). This vessel stabilizes the flow and acts as a pressurized reservoir before the gas is sent for final utilization or further processing. 4. Overpressure Protection (The Recovery Loop) To prevent pipe rupture during sudden pressure spikes, the horizontal vessel is equipped with an Angle Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) on the top nozzle. The Recovery Line: A 65mm bypass line routes any vented gas from the PRV back into the suction header. Function: This creates a safety loop that recirculates excess pressure back to the compressors rather than releasing it to the atmosphere, maintaining a "zero-leak" safety philosophy.
