The smooth jaws of these pliers stay parallel and are ideal for gentle gripping and holding. Nickel-plates grips. Plastic-covered jaws for delicate work pieces. Max. opening 10.5 mm. Total length approx. 125 mm. Notes: Threads of nuts and screws are really modeled with theoretical values and without clearance. Rotational locking of the nuts is not modeled. Use a safety glue like "Locktite" or make a deformation on the end of the screws, like a small punching head. I don't know how to create an opening-/closing animation, using the »KeyShot - Application«, because I'm missing the tangential contact condition for a non-linear motion between rotation and translation. If anyone is interested to create an animation - with opening/closing action and a simultaneous rotation about the Y-axis - I would be very pleased. The model is available in following data formats: STEP-file (.stp) of the complete assembly and all native files, (.prt) and (.asm), in a (.7z)-folder, for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
