This is a flap lever I designed for my home cockpit. It has 3 positions that are locked via a mechanical mechanism, similar to the real aircraft. The plate has raised lettering for a more realistic feel, as well as three holes for LEDs that act as indicators for each flap position. All the parts can be 3D printed and assembled using 2 #4 machine screws and a spring. A metal conductor is attached in each detent and completes a circuit with the lever, the spring, and the fulcrum screw. The computer can read which circuit it connects to tell the simulator what position the flaps should be. The flap system was designed using SolidWorks 2020.
