Here is a model of Flomax Model 8 centrifugal pump we purchased recently for a pump skid. The actual model number we bought was an FM8AI-4.60-10Y36CT-145TC and I based my Solidworks file on the dimensions Flomax sent me for that pump. This model just shows the liquid end without the electric motor. The angled part of the housing just behind the inlet has a built in flapper valve which allows the pump to be self priming. The Model 8 is available for use with three different electric motor frame sizes, 56C, 143TC and 145TC. I have provided configurations for all of these. All three motors use the same bolt mounting circle. I did not include the motor itself because they are easy enough to find on the internet at sites such as WEG motors. As well, motor length varies from one manufacturer to another even within NEMA/IEC frame sizes. So the overall foot print of your pump/motor combination might be different depending on where you buy your motors. The Flomax pump is also available with a pedestal for driving with a small gasoline or diesel engine or a power take off shaft from a tractor.
