The flow regulator is a direct-acting static regulator with variable setting. It is an executive device of the AS system and serves to maintain the required operating mode of the engine, as well as to switch it to a new operating mode. The regulator is installed on the oxidizer line between the pump and the gas generator. The regulation of the engine thrust is based on maintaining the required operating mode of the gas generator with the help of a regulator. The change in engine thrust is ensured by switching the gas generator to a new operating mode by changing the pressure of the oxidizer after the regulator. With a change in the pressure of the oxidizer after the regulator, the flow of gases through the gas generator changes, which leads to a change in the net rpm of the fuel tank. This, in turn, leads to a change in the pressure and performance of the pumps, and consequently, the pressure in the combustion chamber.
